The location was at Jug Handle State Park CA.
I was strolling in trees in a foggy day. I saw the beach and waves. What a soothing time.
I love it, don’t you?
This one is third one, which I painted from same design.
First one was I drew with Sumi (Black ink) with brush on Arches rough watercolor paper in 2007. The image size was 11†x 11†It’s only line; still I wanted to show three-dimensional look. I named “Woman’s Backâ€.
It was sold to the professor of psychiatry. She loved the quality of the lines and simplicity. I’m so pleased that she has sophisticated taste.
The second one: I didn’t paint. We had a group show, which theme was “Redâ€. I scan the black & white image of “Woman’s Back†and in a Photoshop program, drop red in the background.  So it is a Giclee print.
I love this design and I wanted to paint much bigger. I painted in Oil on 24†x 24†Gallery Wrapped Canvas in 2010. I named “Woman’s Back in Red”, and I showed the painting in my booth at the San Diego Art Walk. The painting attracted to a couple: the wife is a French. The husband  purchased the painting to surprise his wife as her birthday present.
A couple months ago, Tim invited me to join his group show “Nudeâ€.
Some how I was interested in Modern Art. So I watched about Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat in YouTube and red about them. What passionate Artists they were.
After all, sudden I wanted paint very simple design with Oil matiere/thick paint on 24†x 24†Gallery Wrapped Canvas. I picked the design of “Woman’s Back†again. When I was painting, I was not thinking anything else, but painting. It was conversation with paints.
I named this painting “Woman in passion”. After the paint was dried, I took to Tim. He displayed the painting in his window, and it was sold.
The lady owns business building in Fort Bragg purchased it. She must be passionate person. I love to meet her in person sometime soon.
Well all these paintings owners are women. What do you say?
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Cloudy day has different faces.
Sometimes it makes me so boring and tiring. Sometimes it makes me focused to do something. Especially after many hot sunny days, it’s very soothing.
This kind of cloudy: clouds are dark and light, Light tries to peek out.
Makes a charming painting.
Don’t you think so?
I love Sunset. Before it’s dark, most and last colorful time of a day.
This location is at Van Damme Beach. The parking is in front of the beach. You can see the sunset from inside of a car. When it’s windy or cold day, it’s great to see the sunset from inside of nice warm car.  I don’t know how many times I parked there to enjoy sunset. I think this is one of the most colorful and peaceful sunsets there.
This location is on the Big River. It was in early foggy morning. We were on a small electric boat. I like an electric boat. Of cause it doesn’t pollute river like a motorboat, we don’t need fight against the tide like a rowboat. And it doesn’t make noise, so we can enjoy creature very close: blue herons flew from trees and landed a bank started look for their breakfast. River otters swam and played. It was so fun to watch them.
This scene was so tranquil. It was my favor moment.
Do you feel cool foggy morning air?
This location is in Mendocino Village, CA.
I don’t know when these calalilies started grow on that location. Looks like they love the location, the patch of calalilies grows bigger every year.
When I moved Mendocino in 1982, they were there. But somebody told me that calalilies are not native plants in Mendocino California. From their name they might come from China. Logging Company was in Mendocino two hundreds years ago or some. By the 1860s, Mendocino was home to 500 to 700 Chinese. And they built a Chinese temple, Temple of Kwan Tai in the village.
I love calalilies, don’t you?
It was a sunny morning, I got up earlier and I wanted find nice scenes with vineyard. I started to drive Hwy 101 from Santa Rosa heading north. Around Healdsburg I got off from Hwy, I wanted to go to the mountains side, but I lost and some how I got in Healdsburg Square. I love the place. It was around nine O’clock in the morning. I could find parking spot so easy. Some people were sitting on the bench, chattering, reading newspaper, and walking with a dog. I started to do window-shopping. Of cause all stores are closed besides cafeterias. Some how I got in a farmers market. It was nice energy. When I saw this flower booth, I was vibrated with these flowers.
What a nice summer morning!
This location is Mendocino Coast CA., looking from opposite North of Mendocino Headlands.
It was sunny day, warm and movement there. There is nice invitation to the environment.
I feel that I captured the quiet moment with calm colors and composition well.
What do you think?

When I was heading south from Mendocino Village, I saw this scene.
It graved my heart. So I parked at the vista along the Hwy 1. I enjoyed the sunset: changing the color of sky and dynamic clouds performance.
I’m very grateful to be a painter. During painting this painting, all memory came back. I was inside of this scene. What a wonderful feeling.
