Minnie Valero and I met at the paint out in the Balboa Park for three years ago. Coming from completely different cultures.

Minnie Valero comes from Cordoba, Argentina, and now lives and works in the San Diego area and the South of France. I came from Tokyo, Japan, lived in Mendocino for 27 years, lived in San Diego for 2 years and now living in Santa Rosa.

We don’t spend time together much. But some how, since we met, we feel that we’ve known each other long time and feel the vibrations of their artistic passion.

We are having a show “Minie Valero and Mariko Irie 2012” at Spanish Village Art Center Gallery 21.

Our works are very different each other, but they have beautiful harmony.

Both award winning artists, who have been in numerous group and solo shows, Minnie and my art reflects our life journey.

I’m in Mendocino coast.

Today I sat the gallery all day. It was fun to meet people who are interested in our art. Plus my friends came by. I had a wonderful time with them.

Also it has been fogy and rain, but today it was warm sunny day.

It’s easy to find fun at sunny and nice warm beach.

It was wonderful waves.

I love La Jolla Coast beach in CA. The sand is very light color and color of the ocean is emerald green, cobalt blue and all kind of cheerful colors in it.

I like the feeling between these couple.  I don’t hear their conversation, but I can see the body language.

I was attracted to these shoes are. They put their shoes same way. Hmm:)

What a beautiful day at beach.

A bikini girl is walking with brisk steps. Her hear is blowing in wind.

She is watching waves.  She might be a surfer.

It’s refreshing and giving me energy.

I saw this scene in the morning in Little Italy.

I was far away from them, so I didn’t hear their conversation. But it looks like they disagree each other.

Then the man walked away and the woman stayed.

This market is so charming.

Wood furniture for merchandiser, umbrellas and color of the building, just match colors.

Now daffodils are blooming everywhere.

These daffodils were glowing in the sunset light and purplish Clouds.

This trail leads to Northwest side of Van Damme Beach in Little Rive CA .

A lot of Margaret flowers bloom along the trail in spring. There are an old fence and a gate. Over the fence you can see the ocean.

What a sweet view.
