My artist friend who has an art studio at Sonoma Art Farm where my studio is now, gave me information on the \u201cCake\u201d show:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show is a nod to Wayne Thiebaud and his long life of painting.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This show is about color, feeling, pleasure and memories we hold from our experiences with Cake.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayne Thiebaud is one of my favorite artists.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I was painting my \u201cMuseum\u201d series \u201cArt Lovers\u201d, I painted \u201c 562. Cakes & Boy\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My painting for the \u201cCake\u201d show was on very short notice. But I wanted to paint something new.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I try not eat sugar, but I ran to get a piece of cheese cake<\/strong>😊 and painted<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

while listening Wayne Thiebaud\u2019s interviews on YouTube.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had a great time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My submitted painting was accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I delivered the painting, I also brought \u201c 562. Cakes & Boy\u201d as well which the manager loved for the show\u2019s display.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening reception had a very happy mood to it. Does cake make everybody happy? All the show\u2019s paintings and sculptures were very happy creative ones as were the cakes at the reception. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My \u201c 562. Cakes & Boy\u201d was sold before the opening. The gallery sitter was exited to report the sale of the painting, which will go to Saudi Arabia<\/strong>😊💞<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show will display through June 25 at CAMI Art + Wine Gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
