Albion River at Sunset&#8221; Watercolor painting by Mariko Irie<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Now I was curious about the view of the bridge from the Albion River Inn restaurant yard.<\/p>\n<p>I copied about the bridge from Wikipedia below.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00c2\u00a0<b>Albion River Bridge<\/b>\u00c2\u00a0is a wooden\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Deck truss bridge\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deck_truss_bridge\">deck truss bridge<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0crossing the\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Albion River\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Albion_River\">Albion River<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0in Mendocino. It is the only remaining\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Wooden bridge\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wooden_bridge\">wooden bridge<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0on\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"California State Route 1\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/California_State_Route_1\">California State Route 1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 1944, the present span was opened.<sup><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Albion_River_Bridge#cite_note-hbus-6\">[6]<\/a><\/sup>\u00c2\u00a0It was built during\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"World War II\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/World_War_II\">World War II<\/a>, and because concrete and steel were in short supply during the war, it was built of salvaged wood,<sup><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Albion_River_Bridge#cite_note-mccc-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup>\u00c2\u00a0treated with a\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Copper\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Copper\">copper<\/a> <a title=\"Azole\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Azole\">azole<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0<a title=\"Wood preservation\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wood_preservation\">Preservative<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_684\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariko-irie.com\/fromalbioninn.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-684\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-684\" title=\"From Albion River Inn\" alt=\"fromalbioninn\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.mariko-irie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/fromalbioninn-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-684\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&#8221; 660. It was in December, but it feels like spring weather and flowers were blooming.<\/p>\n<p>I heard that some people have wedding ceremony on the green on the Albion River Inn restaurant yard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Today it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a gloomy day in Santa Rosa.
