Gratitude to Mother Earth, sailing through night and day–<\/p>\n

and to her soil: rich, rare and sweet<\/p>\n

in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gratitude to Plants, the sun-facing light-changing leaf<\/p>\n

and fine root hairs: standing still through wind<\/p>\n

and rain; their dance is in the flowing spiral grain<\/p>\n

in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gratitude to Air, bearing the soaring Swift and the silent<\/p>\n

Owl at dawn. Breath of our song<\/p>\n

clear spirit breeze<\/p>\n

\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gratitude to Wild Beings, our brothers, teaching secrets,<\/p>\n

freedoms and ways; who share with us their milk;<\/p>\n

self- complete, brave, and aware<\/p>\n

in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gratitude to Water: clouds, lakes, rivers, glaciers;<\/p>\n

holding or releasing; streaming through all<\/p>\n

all bodies salty seas<\/p>\n

in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gratitude to the Sun: blinding pulsing light through<\/p>\n

trunks of trees, through mists, warming caves where<\/p>\n

bears and snakes sleep–he who wakes us–<\/p>\n

in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gratitude to the Great Sky<\/p>\n

who holds billions of stars–and goes yet beyond that–<\/p>\n

beyond all powers, and thoughts<\/p>\n

and yet is within us–<\/p>\n

Grandfather Space<\/p>\n

The Mind is his Wife.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

so be it.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
